Xen是英国剑桥大学开发的一款开源的虚拟机监视器产品。该产品能够使不同和不兼容的操作系统运行在同一台计算机上，并支持在运行时进行迁移，保证正常运行并且避免宕机。

Xen 4.0，4.1，4.2以及Citrix XenServer 6.0.2和较早的版本中的中include/asm-x86/debugreg.h中的set_debugreg超调用中存在漏洞。当程序在X86 64位系统下运行时，具有操作系统访客权限的本地攻击者利用该漏洞通过写入DR7调试控制寄存器的保留位，导致拒绝服务（主机崩溃）。
