Xen是英国剑桥大学开发的一款开源的虚拟机监视器产品。该产品能够使不同和不兼容的操作系统运行在同一台计算机上，并支持在运行时进行迁移，保证正常运行并且避免宕机。

Xen 4.1.x版本和Citrix XenServer 6.0.2版本及较早的版本中的arch/x86/physdev.c中的physdev_get_free_pirq超调用中存在漏洞，该漏洞源于程序使用‘get_free_pirq’函数的返回值作为数组索引，却未有检查返回值指向一个错误。访客操作系统攻击者利用该漏洞通过未明向量导致拒绝服务（无效的内存写入和主机崩溃）进而获得特权。
